For this fundraiser, community members bring donations of gently used and re-gifted items to be auctioned off in lots. This is a great way of recirculating unwanted items that might have been thrown out otherwise.

For a spaghetti dinner fundraiser, we requested all diners to bring their own plates and cutlery. This kept 60 paper plates and forks out of the landfill! SMCS - Shalalth

 We recycled old Scholastic book order forms and we made them into little plant pots. We used a wooden pot maker. You have a 9cm wide strip of newsprint. You cut it down lengthwise then you roll it around the potmaker, and squish in the bottom of the paper. Then use the bottom of the potmaker to squish it down hard enough for it to keep its shape. Use dirt to fill the pots and now you are ready... SMCS - Shalalth
